In that leather chair by the fireplace, the only fireplace in New York City that felt like home, the weeks fog in her mind began to clear, and for the first time in months she could see. She saw him for what he was, and herself for making another predictable mistake. 

All those nights time stood still, but as dawn came so too did the truth, and with the truth there was no move to be made, no fight to be had, no decision, no choice. With the dawn she lay there alone in that beautiful room, with all her beautiful dreams warming the empty space on the other side of the king size bed. With the dawn she looked at that city for more than a moment, that perfect city. It would never feel like home, just like that beautiful room would never feel like hers. 

All that glitters falls away, and the gown is returned. Every night was like the day after New Years. Those moments, those smiles, those people, all leave as quickly as they all came... 

Like when the lights go on at the disco.

Afternoon Rosé & Cheese at The Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge

Today has been canceled go back to bed! ...or head to The Beverly Hills Hotel for Rosé & cheese! The Beverly Hills Hotel is one of the most iconic hotels in L.A., known for it's celebrity cliental, perfectly manicured grounds, and of course, the Polo Lounge; an outdoor lounge in one of the hotels beautiful gardens. As I pulled up to valet bobbing my head to the new Drake song, One Dance, I was met by 3 men in blush pink polos to take my car, and escort me to the lounge #Cluelessmoment. I had the pleasure of meeting a long term employee Anna, who was not only some of the best dining service I have had in a long time, but a full on comedy show! She had us laughing from start to finish, & truly made our afternoon wine and cheese a fond memory of laughs, (please ask for her if you ever find yourself at the lounge)! Beverly Hills definitely feels like an adult playground, but I love to drive through the neighborhoods and people watch, imagining who really lives in these Barbie Dream Houses! 

As a true denim enthusiast, I fall in love with jeans often, but I think I finally met, "the one" in the Acne Studios Boy Jean in Indigo Frayed This jean fits like a dream in the way that I look for. I have a bigger bum, so I choose denim to downplay it a bit, and the boyish styled back pocket hangs perfectly toning down the booty factor just the right amount! The Tee is Wildfox Summer16, and perfectly explains my weekend mantra!
